OK North Texas... time to get green!
Tuesday, 13 April 2010 21:35

2010earthdayThursday, April 22, is Earth Day. The Sierra Club is encouraging people to celebrate by making a pledge to do one small thing to help the environment; whether it's reusing shopping bags, planting a tree, OR... (and we like this)... riding your bicycle for one trip instead of using your car.

As pledges come in from around the country, the Earth Day map shows how green each state is on a per capita basis. Oregon is currently in the lead... what a surprise!

Although Texas has a dubious (even horrible?) reputation when it comes to the environment, things are changing... even in our state where carbon is king. North Texans can do their part to raiseTexas' green factor by going to the Earth Day map and making a pledge to do one simple thing for the environment on Earth Day. And... you might even win a trip for two to Hawaii! More information is also available in The Insider newsletter.
